Dear Clients and Friends,

We thought we should share a few bits of news with you:

Multiple Awards

We just learned that ACQ5 (Acquisition Finance Magazine) has named Marlin & Associates US Boutique Investment Banking Firm of the Year, as well as US TMT Advisory Firm of the Year.
Additionally they named a transaction on which we advised – the $34 million (USD) growth equity financing of Tier1CRM by Wavecrest Growth Partners, Salesforce Ventures, and MassMutual Ventures as the US Small Tech Fund Raising Deal-of-the-Year. They also named me as the US Game Changer of the Year. It was quite a day!

The ACQ Global Awards 2018 rankings “…are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of evaluations, peer review from leading parties in their field, and review of additional information provided or gathered by ACQ as part of the formal submission process.” We work hard to help our clients achieve their long-term strategic goals and it is always a pleasure to have this hard work be recognized.

Two Promotions

We also announced today that Sam Levy has been named to the position of Principal of the firm; and Brian McAllister has been named a Director.

Sam has been providing strategic and financial advice to international technology companies for more than ten years. He joined us in early 2013 after six years spent advising technology companies for a tech-focused boutique in New York. Sam was born and educated in France where he earned an M.S. in Computer Science from CentraleSupélec in Paris (one of the Grandes Ecoles). Sam’s training as a software engineer enables him to build close ties with many of the entrepreneurs and operators he advises.

Brian, a native of Cleveland, joined us in 2013 and over the course of the past 5 years has demonstrated the knowledge, initiative, and judgment required to be strong investment banker. Among several transactions on which he has advised was the $34 million growth equity financing of Tier1CRM that was just named as the US Small Tech Fund Raising Deal-of-the-Year. Brian is a graduate of Fordham University with a BS in Finance. Clients love his thorough, consultative approach to problem solving.

We hope you will join us in congratulating Brian, Sam, and the team that makes it all come together.
