Today, we announced that Jason Panzer has been promoted to the created position of Chief Operating Officer, reporting to our founder and Managing Partner, Ken Marlin.
We’re all pleased for Jason. He has been a partner at M&A for more than six years. He began his career as a lawyer in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Skadden, Arps, where he worked on dozens of transactions including public and private mergers, stock/asset acquisitions, tender offers, LBOs and private equity investments. Later, he spent 3 years as the CFO of JCF Group, the Paris-based provider of global earnings-estimates. In 2004, Jason helped to manage the sale of JCF to #FactSet . He then began FactSet’s VP for Business Development. Jason joined M&A in 2008. His clients have included large firms such as Deutsche Börse, MarketAxess, and McGraw-Hill / S&P, as well as a wide number of entrepreneur founded and led companies and companies backed by VC and private equity firms such as Francisco Partners, Insight Venture Partners, and Morgan Stanley. Jason earned his MBA from Columbia Business School, his Law Degree from Fordham Law School and is a CFA charter holder. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, his 13 year old son, and his 10 year old daughter. In his limited spare time, Mr. Panzer is an avid cyclist and triathlete.
